About New Order
When Joy Division’s Ian Curtis tragically took his own life, the remaining members of the legendary post-punk band re-formed as New Order with the addition of Gillian Gilbert. They went on to become one of the most important and acclaimed groups of the 1980s and beyond, developing an electronic-leaning sound that brought the world songs like ‘Blue Monday’, the best-selling 12-inch single of all time.
